the annex LA seeks artists, vendors & galleries that want to establish their presence at the Downtown L.A. Art Walk. This month’s one day event is on Thursday, March 11th from 4pm-10pm.  With upwards of 6000 people in attendance each month, this event offers an enormous amount of exposure. This is a great opportunity to make contacts, meet artists in the area, and gain access to a young, hip, and involved audience. the annex LA takes 25% of all art sales and an extra 5% for the credit card sales. Please see additional participation guidelines below:

individual artists & galleries

the annex LA offers 800 square feet of wall space for the display of 2-dimensional work. Each 4’ X 8’ (height X width) section is twenty five dollars. A comparable amount of 3-dimensional work will be accepted, but pedestals will be the responsibility of the artist. In addition to being promoted in our monthly newsletter, participating galleries and artists will be featured on the annex LA  website. See past participants here.

Galleries and artists are encouraged to bring business cards and other promotional materials. Artist and pricing labels will be provided.

For emerging artists, volunteering 2 hours of your time may be accepted as a substitute for the twenty five dollar fee. Please contact us for additional details.

Artist install will be the Wednesday before from 5p-8p; uninstall is the Friday after from noon-4p. If you cannot make it at these times, please contact us to make special arrangements. Acceptance is competitive.

vendors

If you would like to vend at this month’s art walk, it costs sixty-five dollars for a 10×10’ space. We invite all jewelers, craftspeople, photographers, designers, and etc. to participate. Things that sell well tend to be funky, unique, and affordable (<100 dollars). Think quirky boutique.

A limited number of large tables (about 3′ by 8′) are available, but make sure to let us know early if you need one. Otherwise, vendors must bring their own tables, clothing racks, and displays. Outlets are available for additional lighting, so you may want to bring your own extension cord (6’-15’). Vendors are responsible for taking their own payment; however, a communal credit card machine is available for use for a small processing fee. If you have special needs, please let us know so we can do our best to accommodate.

Set-up will be the Wednesday before from 5p-8p. If you cannot make it at this time, please contact us to make special arrangements. Space is limited so don’t delay.
